inflammation

When inflammation goes up, detoxification goes down They’re fundamentally opposed processes, because inflammation loves to oxidize things (steal electrons). While detoxification does the opposite – its mission in life is to “reduce” free radicals by donating electrons in an anti-oxidant process.

Inflammation is dominated by oxidation. It’s primarily a “pro-oxidant” process. Whereas, detoxification is the opposite; it’s dominated by anti-oxidant effect So when inflammation is running rampant, either acute or chronic, the detoxification system can’t do its work effectively. And this is important because most people in the Western world have some level of chronic inflammation going on in their bodies all the time due to heavy metals, fabricated vegetable oils, industrial chemicals, hormone mimics, crop amendments and processed food, stress, and a lot of other things. And this basically slows detoxification to a crawl. Again, inflammation depresses detoxification. And virtually everyone nowadays has some degree of inflammation, no matter how careful you are. So you and your health counselors should look closely at your level of chronic inflammation when you’re trying to detox, because chronic inflammation can defeat, or seriously inhibit, your best detox efforts.
